The Indian Premier League has cast a spell on cricket lovers and how!

The popular Twenty20 tournament is in its seventh year since its inception, and even after all the controversies and scams, the fans are filling up the stadiums like kids rushing to a candy store.

This year the tournament has caught the fancy of gulf-based NRIs who have been thronging the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Rediff.com features some Chennai Super Kings fans, young and old, who came in all their glory as they cheered for Mahi and his men during their Super 8 match against Delhi Daredevils on Monday.

Former champions Chennai Super Kings recorded their biggest-ever win in the IPL after comprehensively beating Delhi Daredevils by 93 runs on Monday.

But it’s their Super fans who deserve part credit for cheering them on to the big win.

The support from the capacity crowd meant that Chennai owed a win to their fans. And they did it with elan! 

Even as these fans present the team's 'vital stats', the Chennai boys went about their job with some authority.

After posting a competitive 177 for seven built around Suresh Raina's 56 off 41 deliveries and a 32 of 18 balls blitz by Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Chennai then dismissed Delhi for a depressing 84.

It was an all-round show by Chennai Super Kings as Ishwar Pandey, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two wickets apiece while South Africa's Faf du Plessis impressed in the field with two stunning catches.

Among the spectators was the 'baccha party' that was busy rooting for their favourite players.

Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is heavily embroiled in the IPL 6 match-fixing scandal but as it can be seen here, his fan-following hasn't waned.

The man continues to win his supporters and his late burst of runs against Delhi on Monday only added to his fans' faith in him.

Dhoni used his long handle to great effect to race his way to 32 off just 15 balls with the help of two fours and as many sixes.

Chasing the target, the Daredevils witnessed a nightmarish start as they lost half of their side with just 50 runs on the board in the 10th over.

The Delhi outfit's chase never really got going at they lost wickets at regular intervals to reel for major part of their innings.

This laid the platform for Chennai's win, giving it's fans a lot to smile about!
