Brian Lara's feat is a world record. Period.

The ex-West Indies captain continues to hold the record for the highest individual score in Test cricket (400 not out).

His unbeaten quadruple hundred against England at the Antigua Recreation Ground in April 2004 made him the only man to have reclaimed the Test record score.

Lara had scored 375 against England in 1994 on the same ground, a record that stood until Matthew Hayden's 380 against Zimbabwe in 2003.

His unbeaten 400 also made him the second player after Sir Don Bradman to score two Test triple-centuries.
