Statistical highlights of Day 2 in the first Test between India and Australia [Images], at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, on Friday.

# Zaheer Khan [Images] registered his best bowling figures on Indian soil. His five-wicket haul in the first innings is first at home and sixth in Tests.

# Zaheer is now the first Indian pacer to bag five wickets in an innings against Australia at Bangalore. He is the third Indian bowler to capture five wickets or more in an innings against Australia, the first two being Anil Kumble [Images] (6 for 98 in 1997-98) and Harbhajan Singh [Images] (6 for 78 and 5 for 146 in 2004-05).

# Gambhir and Sehwag accomplished a rare feat for an Indian opening pair, putting on 50-plus for the fifth time in succession -- 167 and 90 at Galle; 51 and 62 at Colombo and 68 at Bangalore.

# Michael Hussey recorded his ninth Test hundred (146 off 276 balls), his second against India.

# Hussey's excellent innings is his highest against India (and his second best), outstripping his 145 not out at Sydney in 2007-08.

# Hussey's hundred is his second away from home in nine Tests.

# Overall, Kumble has conceded 100 runs or more in an innings 56 times, an unwanted record, eclipsing Sri Lanka's [Images] Muttiah Muralitharan's [Images] 55 instances.

# Australia (430) recorded their second best score at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Their highest at the venue is 474, in October 2004.
