Pak name uncapped opener in squad

Pakistan on Monday named a strong 18-man squad for the conditioning camp ahead of the series against India starting from January 5.

The provisional squad includes uncapped Riffatullah Mohmand who scored 444 runs with three hundreds in Pakistan's premier domestic cricket tournament Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in 2005.

He also scored an impressive 55 against England [Images] in a limited overs practice match in December.

The 18-member squad is as follows:

Inzamam-ul-Haq [Images], Salman Butt [Images], Shoaib Malik [Images], Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf [Images], Shahid Afridi [Images], Abdul Razzaq [Images], Shoaib Akhtar [Images], Kamran Akmal, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Sami [Images], Danish Kaneria, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Asif [Images], Umar Gul, Asim Kamal, Yasir Hameed [Images], Raffatullah Mohmand.
