LBW in both innings versus India

Rajneesh Gupta | March 12, 2005 15:40 IST

Inzamam-ul-Haq [Images] was adjudged LBW off Anil Kumble [Images] in the second innings of the Mohali Test after making a well compiled 86.

Kumble had dismissed Inzamam in the similar fashion in the first innings also. This provided the 12th instance of a batsman getting out LBW to the same bowler twice in a Test against India.

Apart from Inzamam only one Pakistani has suffered this fate against India -- Saqlain Mushtaq in the Delhi Test of 1998-99 series. No prizes for guessing that Kumble was the bowler on that occasion too.

Apart from Kumble, Harbhajan Singh [Images] and Irfan Pathan [Images] have performed this feat on two occasions for India. Pathan's both instances were infact recorded in the same Test.
