Google opens research centre in Paris

Google inaugurated its new research centre in Paris on Tuesday in the presence of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

The new 10,000 square meter Google office isn't merely handling operations in France, as the search giant plans on using it as its nerve centre for operations in Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
