Who pays the highest and lowest for petrol in India

Petrol prices in India are amongst the highest in the world.

However, after a spate of petrol price hikes, the government cut petrol prices in November and December last year. So there has been a marginal dip in the petrol prices.

Petrol prices vary across India depending on value added Tax (VAT) and other local levies.
