Ahead of the Indo-European summit scheduled on November 30 in New Delhi, the Commission yesterday said the statistics underscore the growing importance of the emerging Indian economy in the world food trade and the overall trade with Europe, which has grown by 80 per cent since 2000.
The transaction, subject to antitrust authorities approval, is expected to be completed by the end of this year, said Gonzalo Urquijo, member of the Group Management Board of ArcelorMittal.
The transaction is expected to close in October, subject to oversight and approval by the recently appointed court trustee, a company statement said.
