The situation in Maval near Pune, where three people were killed in police firing on Tuesday, was peaceful and under control. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the firing in which three farmers were killed and one seriously injured. Farmers who were seriously injured in the firing were being treated at a hospital at Talegaon.Nearly 50 police personnel, including ten policemen, were injured in stone pelting during the farmers' protest on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
