A CPI-M member in the Lok Sabha,on Wednesday asked the government to condemn a United States State Department statement that India tell Iran to 'meet the requirements of the UN Security Council' on its nuclear programme during Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejads upcoming visit.
The CPI-M claimed that the attack on its party office in New Delhi on Sunday by suspected RSS and BJP activists, while its central committee was meeting, was a pre-meditated attack, but rejected BJP calls for a judicial inquiry into the incident. Meanwhile, the BJP in Parliament claimed that the CPI-M was to blame for the atrocities in Kerala, where five BJP supporters were killed.
