Jamaat-u-Dawah chief Hazif Muhammad Saeed on Saturday warned India to "quit" Jammu and Kashmir or be prepared for a "war" even as the extremist group organized protests at several places in Pakistan to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Normal life in several parts of the Kashmir Valley was affected due to a strike call given by Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front as authorities clamped restrictions in two police station areas of the city to foil the launch of separatist outfit's 'Quit Kashmir' movement.
Kashmiris thronged the markets on Sunday to shop for the festival of Eid, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramazan at the end of this week. Today was the last day of normalcy in the valley, as separatist leaders have called for a three-day shutdown from Monday. Hard-line separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who draws up the protest calendars, has called for a 'Quit Kashmir Campaign'.
"Whether we are back or away, if they put Kashmiri Pandits in isolation, they will never see peace in Kashmir."
