Israel will discuss the issue of homeland security with West Bengal which is reeling under the brunt of Maoist extremism.
Expressing concern over rising incidents of terror attacks in India, Israel on Tuesday said both the countries should mull strategies to fight terrorism together. Israeli Ambassador to India Mark Sofer, who held held a 45-minute meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh, said both the countries have been facing threat to their internal security from neighbours.
In an interview with a weekly, the envoy disclosed how defence ties between the two countries got a boost after Kargil when Israel came to India's rescue at a critical time, helping turn around the situation on the ground.
