Power equipment supplier Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd plans five joint ventures in the nuclear sector and locomotive manufacturing. The company has decided to invest Rs 1,000 crore in a castings and forgings joint venture, Chairman and Managing Director K Ravi Kumar said.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, the country's largest power equipment manufacturer, is hopeful of getting orders worth Rs 55,000 crore within the financial year ending March 2010.
The country's largest power equipment maker, BHEL, on Thursday said it is sitting on comfortable cash reserves but if the government is keen on an FPO to raise money it could be done in the next financial year.
