The curfew in sensitive areas of Saidabad and Madannapet in the Old City area has been relaxed for four hours, police announced on Wednesday.
Police on Friday arrested seven more persons in connection with the last Sunday's communal clashes in Madannapet and Saidabad areas of the old city, even as authorities announced a 14-hour relaxation of curfew on Saturday.
Curfew in communally sensitive areas of Saidabad and Madannapet in the old city in Hyderabad continued for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, even as police indicated that prohibitory orders may be relaxed from tomorrow, if the situation remains peaceful.
An indefinite curfew was on Sunday clamped in some parts of the walled city in Hyderabad, following communal clashes over alleged desecration of a religious place.
