A Central Bureau of Investigation team, which has already arrived in Gujarat, is also expected to visit the site to ascertain whether the remains belong to the massacred victims whose bodies were yet to be recovered in the Bilkis Bano case.
The Gujarat High Court on Wednesday adjourned hearing on a petition challenging the probe by Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team into Chief Minister Narendra Modi and 62 others' alleged involvement in 2002 post-Godhra riots till July 17.
The Gujarat High Court on Friday declined to stay the fresh probe by the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team or any other process against Chief Minister Narendra Modi and 62 others in connection with the post-Godhra riots cases in 2002.
The samples will be sent to the forensic laboratory at Red Hill in Hyderabad for DNA testing.
The matter is expected to come up for hearing on Thursday.
The Central Bureau of Investigation Thursday pulled out two more skeletal remains from the Lunavada grave in Gujarat, where victims of post-Godhra communal riots were buried, raising the total number of recoveries so far to 15.
