England and Liverpool football ace Steven Gerrard was conferred honorary fellowship by Liverpool John Moores University on Thursday. The 28-year-old midfielder, who was awarded the MBE last year, was honoured for his contribution to the game. "I am very proud to become a fellow of Liverpool John Moores University," said Gerrard.
