The Bombay High Court has dismissed the petitions of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) challenging arbitral awards of over Rs 538 crore (Rs 5,038 million) in favour of the now-defunct Indian Premier League franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
Contrary to news reports, former Australian fast bowler and ex-Pakistan team coach Geoff Lawson has already been named as the coach the new Kochi IPL franchise in the T20 League's 2011 edition.
C N Mohanan, Chairman of Greater Cochin Development Authority, which owns the stadium, said this after office bearers of Kerala Cricket Association and Kerala Footbal Association met him to discuss possibilities of hosting the India-West Indies ODI in November at the stadium.
