England Cricket Board (ECB) officials visited Kolkata's Eden Gardens on Wednesday to assess facilities and security arrangements ahead of the England cricket team's upcoming tour to India.
A three-member committee of England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) visited the newly-constructed Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) Stadium at Khandheri, where the English team is scheduled to play an ODI against India in January.
The PCB said security concerns are the main reason for their rejection of the venue.
