Neerja Chowdhury spoke to former prime minister and JD-S H D Deve Gowda about the ongoing political crisis in Karnataka.
The latest salvo by Governor HR Bhardwaj recommending President's rule in Karnataka has left the state Bharatiya Janata Party speechless. Although they have resolved to battle the issue out till the very end, they continue to say that they have been taken aback and the action of the governor is unbecoming.
"Let them take their time. I will not interfere or else all you people in the media will blame and target me for forming or pulling down a government," the Governor told media persons.
The war of words between Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and Governor HR Bhardwaj continued on Monday with the former telling the media that his 'friends' are planning on filing a defamation suit against the Governor.
The ministers met Governor Bharadwaj and told him that he should have at least had the courtesy to send the Chief Minister a copy of the order
A member of the chief minister's legal team told rediff.com that the petition, seeking a stay on the Governor's order, will be filed on Monday morning and could come up the same day, as there was urgency in the matter.
