Ishrat judge to hear another victim kin's plea

The petition of Gopinath Pillai, father of one of the four persons killed in 2004 police encounter, was transferred to the judge hearing the Ishrat Jahan case, by the Gujarat High Court on Thursday.

Judge declines to hear petition against SIT probe

A Gujarat High Court judge, hearing the petition challenging the probe by a special investigation team against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and 62 others, on Monday declined from hearing the case.When the matter came up for hearing in the court of Justice H N Devani, she said, "not before me" and declined to hear the matter, citing personal reasons. The case will now be referred to another court based on an instruction by the high court chief justice.
