United States President Barack Obama has appointed two Indian-Americans, Rashad Hussain and Shomik Datta, to his legal team -- the White House Counsel. Hussain has been appointed as Deputy Associate Counsel to the US President and Dutta will be special assistant to President's Counsel, Greg Craig, the White House said. These appointments were made on January 28.
American President Barack Obama was sworn in for second time as the US President by the Chief Justice of Supreme Court John Roberts at White House on Wednesday evening.The surprise move was taken on Wednesday evening in 'an abundance of caution', as the US Chief Justice had flubbed the oath of the office. The second oath was administered at 7.35 pm. White House Counsel Greg Craig said that the oath administered to Obama on Tuesday was fine, but one word was out of sequence.
