I recived my Provident Fund ammount yesturday from Electrolux Kelvinator Ltd, & was unhappy as 30 % plus INCOME TAX WAS DEDUCTED FROM THE PF AMMOUNT.I was always given to understand that PF is not taxable. Than i mailed the concern person who replied. That its a PF TRUST & My PF becomes taxable as i served below 5 yrs. CAN U PLEASE CLARIFY as i was always under the impression that Govt exempts Income Tax on the only savings from our hard earned money.
