According to Computer Association of Eastern India (COMPASS) president Pawan Jajodia, 55 lakh PCs were sold in India in 2006-07 with Eastern region accounting for 15 lakh registering about 30 per cent growth in sales in the region. Jajodia said that there was a 15-20 per cent drop in prices of computer products, including PCs, pushing up sales all over the country.
