The city, buried under sands near the modern-day city of Luxor for three millennia, was uncovered in September 2020 by a team led by Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass and has now been revealed to the world.
The incident took place after a train coming from Cairo, the capital of Egypt, collided with another train coming from Port Said in Khorshid area.
A huge explosion on Friday hit the police headquarters in the Egyptian capital, killing three persons and wounding 40 others.
