When Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi support opposing teams in the ‘El Clasico’, between La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, this is what pans out on Twitter…

Using his Twitter handle @msdhoni, an excited Mahendra Singh Dhoni revealed his thoughts before the starting whistle: “Real Madrid vs Barcelona, entertaining 105 mins ahead. Barcelona all the way for Messi, May the best team win.”

He then went on to write: "Doesn't matter which team wins, I am here for entertainment."

Meanwhile, his wife Sakshi’s loyalty was firmly with Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid.

Here is what she tweeted: "Fantastic game!!! RMD on top."

Though captain Dhoni was supporting Barca on the night, he did appreciate his personal favourite: Ronaldo.

“Barcelona draws first blood that makes it even more interesting... RM also playing well…Bale and Ronaldo's pace will be a big threat for barca,” he tweeted.

As the match progressed, he continued: “I just love Messi, let's c who gets a card now… Top stuff Real Madrid… One each, that's wat I was talking about.”

Meanwhile, his wife's loyalty was firmly with Ronaldo and Real.

"Fantastic game!!! RMD on top." she wrote.

Anticipating an exciting second half, Dhoni tweeted: “2nd half is where the big players show their skill and fitness,even more interesting half awaits us.”

He then went to explain Madrid’s predicament after defender Sergio Ramos was sent off for clipping Neymar.

“Fantastic game,with 10men it was always difficult for RM.anyways time to sleep now.”

As the clock hit 90 minutes, a disappointed Sakshi tweeted: What a night.... OMG... Nooooooooooooo Hala Madrid!!
