The iconic Barclay's Premier League trophy is on display at the Channel V Indiafest 2014 at Baga in Goa.

Fans will have an opportunity to get up close and get a feel of the 25 kg glittering cup made from silver.

And for those who follow Manchester United passionately, they have a chance to get an autograph and pose for a photograph with the club’s legendary player Denis Irwin.

Irwin, who played as a full-back during his long and successful career at Manchester United from 1983 to 2004, was highly regarded by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson as his best ever signing.

Goa Football Association president and chairman of Dempo Group of Industries Shrinivas V. Dempo was invited to witness an exhibition match between Dempo Sports Club and Indiafest V. Later, he was taken for an exclusive tour of the Premier League trophy and posed for photographs with Irwin and the Dempo team.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Dempo said, “The fact that the Premier League trophy has come to Goa highlights the popularity of football in Goa and in India. I hope more youngsters take up to the beautiful game and ensure steady flow of talent that translates into success for India internationally. I do hope that someday an Indian player will be a part of an EPL- winning team.”

The trophy will be on display till February 8.
