Indian swimmers continued to sweep the medals for the third day running in the SAF Games.

After winning four gold medals on each of the first two days, India's Mandar Divase clinched the 1500 metres freestyle gold with a new Games mark, and the 4 x 100 metre medley relay team of Dipes Bairagi, Gairik Bardhan, Akar Ali Mir and Sujith ended the third day sweeping all four golds on offer.

The quartet also set a new mark, clocking 4 min 03.85 secs, bettering the old mark set by India in Kathmandu in 1999.

Divase eclipsed the 1993 record of J Abhijit (16.53.85 secs) by returning a time of 16min 30.83 secs in the 1500 metres.

Arun Vednkataram clinched the gold in the 50m backstroke with a time of 28.59 secs, followed by Dipes Bairagi (29.29 secs) and Sri Lanka's Kumara Pererra (29.43 secs).

Rehan Poncha annexed the 400m individual medley gold medal to add to the two gold medals he won yesterday.
