Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn signs short-term deal with Arsenal

Meanwhile, Arsenal has signed former England football team captain David Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn on a short-term deal.

The 15-year-old reportedly went on trial with Arsenal and after impressing the coaches at the Emirates has signed a deal until the end of the season.

Brooklyn has been attracting attention from a host of sides, with his father's former club Manchester United thought to be among them. Chelsea has also shown interest whilst he went on trial with Championship side Fulham late last year, The Independent reported.

A source has been reportedly been quoted as saying that Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played.

The source revealed that Beckham's son has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club. He added that next summer they might see him sign a big-money deal and with Arsenal.

If things don't work out for Brooklyn, father Beckham still has two more chances to see one of his sons follow in his footsteps. Younger brothers Romeo and Cruz, aged 12 and nine respectively, have also been training with Arsenal's appropriate youth teams, the report added.
