Eleni Daniilidou of Greece won the Hobart International on Friday after her opponent, Russian Vera Zvonareva [ Images ], withdrew from the final because of an injury.
Zvonareva rolled her left ankle while practicing before the match and was forced to pull out.
She plans to travel to Melbourne [ Images ] on Sunday for scans before deciding whether she will play in the Australian Open [ Images ], which starts on Monday.
The walkover provided Daniilidou with her fifth career WTA title and her first since she won at Seoul in 2006.
