Bhupathi-Mirnyi lose to Murray brothers in Valencia Open

A doubles title continued to elude Mahesh Bhupathi [ Images ] and Max Mirnyi [ Images ] as they lost the Valencia Open final to British brothers Andy and Jamie Murray in Valencia.

The third seeded Indo-Belarusian pair lost the summit clash 6-7 (8), 7-5, 7-10 to the wild card pair.

It's for the fourth time in the season that Bhupathi and Mirnyi have lost a title clash.

They ended runners-up at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments in Miami [ Images ], Monte-Carlo and Cincinnati earlier in the season.

Bhupathi and Mirnyi are trying to grab one of the four spots available in the season-ending World Tour Finals in London [ Images ].

The top eight singles players and pairs compete in the prestigious tournament.

If Bhupathi qualifies for the London event, he will not play for India [ Images ] in the Asian Games, starting November 12 in Guangzhou.
