Vikas Krishan added to India's [ Images ] gold medals rush on Thursday when he beat China's Qing Hu in the final of the men's 60-kg boxing event at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou.

Krishan, 18, won a thrilling contest 5-4 in a close finish.

This was India's third gold medal of the day following victories by Ashwini Chidananda and Joseph Abraham in the 400 metres hurdles -- taking their tally to 10 gold medals at the Asian Games.

India could hope to win gold medals in boxing with Vijender Singh [ Images ] (75kg), Dinesh Kumar (81kg), Santosh Kumar (64kg) and Manpreet Singh (91kg) also making it to the finals.

However, Commonwealth Games [ Images ] gold medallists Suranjoy Singh (51kg) and Paramjeet Samota (+91kg) had to be content with bronze medals after losing in the semifinals.
