Force India ended Formula One's final pre-season test with Giancarlo Fisichella being 12th fastest and team-mate Adrian Sutil 16th at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona on Wednesday.

Italian Fisichella completed 102 laps of the circuit for a best timing of one minute, 22.233 seconds, while the 25-year-old German, Sutil had 107 rounds to register 1:22.521 on the final day of the testing before the season-opener Australian Grand Prix on March 16.

The 35-year-old Fisichella had turned in the sixth fastest time of 1:22.516 on the second day of the testing session while team tester Vitantonio Liuzzi was 10th clocking 1:22.942 in the new VJM01.

Toyota's Italian driver Jarno Trulli was the fastest on the final day with his best timing of 1:20.801.

David Coulthard managed 1:21.258 in his Red Bull to be second quickest ahead of German Nico Rosberg of Williams (1:21.293).

Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso [Images] of Spain recorded his fastest time of the week (1:21.454) to finish seventh.

The season-opening Australian Grand Prix is on March 16 and most teams will not test again until April when they return to Europe after three races in the Far and Middle East.

Finland's Heikki Kovalainen was fourth for McLaren with British team mate Lewis Hamilton [Images], last year's runner-up in an extraordinary debut season, 10th and a fraction slower than Ferrari's [Images] champion Kimi Raikkonen [Images].

Mercedes-powered McLaren said they had covered 14,275 km in 21 days of pre-season testing since January 9 -- 750km more than last year.

The team said the MP4-23 cars would be flown to Melbourne on March 6 after final straight-line aerodynamic testing in Menorca early next week.

Champions Ferrari said test driver Luca Badoer would give both the Melbourne cars a final 'shakedown' at the team's Fiorano circuit in Italy [Images] on March 6.
