In a morale booster ahead of the junior World Cup, the Indian colts won the four-nation hockey tournament in Bilbao, Spain after drawing their last match against Chile 2-2 on Sunday.

The competition, featuring strong teams like Holland and Spain, saw India finishing undefeated with two wins and a draw to end with five points, one more than runners-up Holland.

The World Cup holders had beaten the Dutch team in their opening encounter before registering another victory over Spain.

Sunday's draw against Chile, who finished at the bottom of the table, ensured that they go to the World Cup, starting later this month at Rotterdam, Holland, with a positive mindset.

In another match, Holland beat Spain to finish second with two wins -- their other victory coming against Chile.

Drag-flicker Sandeep Singh was declared the player of the tournament while Adrian D'Souza was named the best goalkeeper.

The Indian team will now proceed to Frankfurt, Germany [Images] for a seven-day training-cum-practice matches session before departing to Rotterdam for the mega event.
