Legendary cricketer Kapil Dev once again proved his golfing acumen emerging as the overall winner of the first annual CII Golf tournament at the Jaypee Greens course at Greater Noida near New Delhi on Sunday.

Kapil Dev scored a net 69.20 under the Double Peoria Handicapping system that was an unusual feature of this day-long event.

The invitational tournament teed off on in bright weather conditions with 108 participants comprising senior government officials and captains of the corporate community.

Sunil Kant Munjal, Vice President CII, said at the awards ceremony "We would like to institutionalize this event and make it an annual feature on our calendar."
