India is seeking details of the arrest of two of its nationals in Spain in connection with an alleged terror plot, officials said in New Delhi on Sunday.

The Indian Embassy in Spain is in touch with the Spanish authorities to ascertain details with regard to the arrests, the officials said.

The Spanish government on Saturday said that two Indians along with 12 Pakistanis were arrested in connection with a terror plot.

The identity of those arrested has not been revealed yet. India wants to know the identity of the Indians arrested, the officials said.

The Spanish government said its police had smashed a suspected Islamist terror cell, arresting 14 people and recovering bomb-making equipment in overnight raids in Barcelona.

"During our searches, we found various materials which could be explosives or be used to make explosives," Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba told a press conference in Madrid.

Four timing devices as well as computer equipment, which was still being examined were also recovered, he said.
