WATCH! Army Chief Gen V K Singh's latest salvo
Army Chief General V K Singh's tryst with controversies seems nowhere close to coming to a halt. Be it the age row, letter 'leaks' or offer of bribe, the maverick general is literally shaking the entire nation on a regular basis.
Raising yet another controversy on Thursday, General Singh has now sent a letter written by Trinamool Member of Parliament Ambika Banerjee to the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe against Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh Suhag, who is second in line to be the army chief.
According to a popular national daily, the army chief forwarded the MP's letter that has alleged widespread "procurement scams" in the "secretive" Special Frontier Force, when Lt Gen Dalbir Singh was its inspector general.
The MP alleged payoffs for the purchase of night-vision devices, communication systems, weapons as well as parachutes.

'No enquiry to probe my allegations'
In the meanwhile, Banerjee has revealed on Thursday that after sending the letter to the prime minister and the defence minister all he received in reply of his letter was a mere acknowledgement.
He further added that no enquiry was done to probe the allegation.
