Stirring the hornet's nest in the Bharatiya Janata Party, Member of Parliament Ram Jethmalani renewed his attack on party chief Nitin Gadkari and demanded his resignation, saying fresh allegations against him will weaken the BJP's campaign against corruption.

Speaking exclusively to CNN-IBN, he said that Gadkari should not be given a second term as the BJP president.

On whether Nitin Gadkari should step down:

He should not aspire for a second term because it weakens the party's position in the forthcoming elections. We are fighting against corruption and we have to have absolutely impeccable integrity.
