It's a boon for thousands of devotees of Sai Baba in Mumbai who cannot travel to his abode in Shirdi.

The four dayShri Sai Satcharitra Mahaparayan festival began in Mumbai on Thursday where a replica of the Sai Baba temple in Shirdi has been recreated in the sprawling Bandra-Kurla Complex grounds.

"The feeling of Shirdi begins at the main grand entrance to the venue and would feature Sai Baba's favourite neem tree, his samadhi temple, his paduka and other highlights associated with the great saint," Desai told a prominent city daily.

Desai also thanked the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi, and the Om Saidham Mandir Trust for 'this wonderful opportunity to re-create a Shirdi in Mumbai'.
