We bring you a collection of some of the odd moments from around the world in recent weeks.

German performance artists Wolfram P Kastner (R) and Linus Heilig wearing costumes depicting the pope and Adolf Hitler pose for pictures, to bring attention to a historical agreement between the Vatican and the Third Reich, in Berlin.

Supporters of Pope Benedict's tour of Germany this week spoke out on Wednesday against critics whose complaints about his conservative views, his planned speech to parliamentarians and the visit's cost have dominated the pre-arrival discussion.

The Vatican embassy, his home while in Berlin, and a nearby church in the gritty Neukoelln district were pelted with paint bombs overnight, police said.

Anti-government protesters attend from a billboard a mass funeral for protesters and defected army soldiers killed in recent clashes with security forces in Sanaa, Yemen.

Snipers, shelling, and gunfire killed at least five people in the Yemeni capital on Wednesday, violating a truce reached a day earlier between state troops and defected soldiers who joined protesters.

The killings raised the death toll to 75 in four days of bloodshed, shattering a prolonged, uneasy stalemate that was set in place during fitful efforts to mediate the crisis.
