Charge-sheet REVEALS how Jagan, YSR defrauded govt

The charge-sheet states that Jagan, with the help of his father, had allotted and mobilised funds on a quid pro quo arrangement for the allotment of land in Special Economic Zones and industrial areas in Mehboobnagar district.

The charge-sheet also states that some of the companies owned by Jagan were favoured by the government when YSR was the chief minister. These companies were favoured so that investments could be made on a quid pro quo arrangement.

The charge-sheet also accuses Acharya, the vice chairman and managing director of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, of playing a major role in allocating prime land to certain companies owned by Jagan.

The charge-sheet also states that Jagan had conspired, along with his father, to issue mining licences and land in Special Economic Zones to certain people so that they in turn invested in the companies owned by Jagan.

The charge-sheet alleges that Jagan used his father's influence and dishonestly concealed parts of profitability and turnover of his companies. The father-son duo, along with some officials, defrauded the government by hatching a criminal conspiracy, the CBI stated.
