Thirty four people, returning from the funeral of a relative, were killed and 30 injured when the mataor carrying them collided with a bus in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday evening.
Superintendent of Police D K Chaudhary said the collision took place near Annipur village on Badaun-Agra road, when the matador collided with a state government bus in Ujhani police station area.
Those killed included the driver of the bus, Chaudhary said, adding that the victims were returning after performing the last rites of their relative. All the deceased belong to Saroura village under Ujhani police station area.
