Measures to screen SARS withdrawn

Measures to screen passengers for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome disease at various airports and ports were withdrawn on Thursday.

A decision to this effect was taken by the Union health ministry as new cases of SARS were not being reported from the neighbouring countries, which had been declared SARS-free by the World Health Organisation.
