The Rashtrapati Bhavan will bear the expenses of the medical treatment of a four-year-old boy from Bhavnagar, Gujarat whose vision was completely damaged when he was attacked by an unidentified person a month ago.
"I got a call from P N Nair, a secretary at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, on Monday and he said that President Kalam was very keen to know about the well-being of the boy -- Mahesh Kumbhania -- and that all expenses of his operation would be taken care of by them," Bhavnagar District Superintendent of Police Hasmukh Patel told PTI in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

At present, Mahesh is getting his cornea treated by Mumbai-based eye surgeon Dr S Natarajan and is likely to be shifted to Ahmedabad later for cornea grafting treatment.
