Certification of Election of Pranab Mukherjee as President of India has been handed over to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday.

Both Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath and Election Commissioner H S Brahma signed this letter in the Nirvachan

Sadan. A copy of this letter has also been delivered to Union Home Secretary R K Singh.

Two principal secretaries of Election Commission have personally taken this certification to the Prime Minster's Office in South Block, which is a customary drill by Election Commission.

Incidentally on Sunday the senior officials of Election Commission worked despite being a holiday to be in attendance for emergency exigency when the counting for Presidential polls was underway.
