A Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express, which left from Mumbai, caught fire on Thursday evening near Ankleshwar in Gujarat. The fire has been raging in the B3 coach over the last one hour and efforts are on to bring it under control.

According to Bhanupratap Narain Misra, who is in the train, the fire was noticed in Surat, but it was allowed to go.

There has been no clarity yet as to why the fire started, or if anyone was injured in the mishap.

"Ankleshwar is about 90 kilometers from Surat. As the train gathered speed the fire raged like hell. We have no information about the status of the passengers of coach number B-3. They have served food to the passengers of other coaches so that they do not venture out to find out what is going on. The train has been stopped Ankhleshwar for more than an hour," Bhanu added.
