Health services returned to normal in Rajasthan on Sunday with government doctors resuming their duties across the state after the end of their 11-day stir.

In-service government doctors, who were on strike since December 21 in the state demanding pay hike and time-bound promotions, called off their agitation last night after the state government lifted Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act and released all the doctors arrested under RESMA during the strike.

An official of the medical and health department said doctors resumed their duties across the state on Monday. Narseen Bharti, general secretary of Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Sevarat Chikitsak Sangha said doctors have faith in the government hence the strike was called off on Saturday night.
