Armed Maoists shot dead a farmer and his son at Konarkhurd in Bihar's Rohtas district, the police said on Friday.
"More than a hundred armed Maoists raided the house of Dadan Singh, pulled the family members out and triggered dynamite blasts to blow up the house at Konarkhurd in Chenari police station late on Thursday night," Deputy Superintendent of Police R K Mal said.
They gunned down Singh and his son Bishambhar Singh, he said. A combing operation has been launched to catch the Maoist fighters, he said.
Old enmity with some Maoist members was suspected to be the reason behind the incident, Mal said.
