Sachdeva, who is accused of purchasing question papers from a CBSE employee, appeared at the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) office of Delhi Police Crime Branch with the bail order, police sources said.

The bail order specified that the accused may be let off after furnishing an amount of Rs 15,000 for a period of six weeks and the high court directive could be got quashed from the same court or the Supreme Court.

The name of Sachdeva, who runs a number of coaching institutes across Delhi, figured as an accused in the case following the arrest of N K Thaploo, a manager of his institute, for allegedly purchasing papers of this year's All India Pre-Medical Exams from Hemant Sharma, an employee in the office of Controller of Examination in the CBSE.

Sachdeva immediately went into hiding even as police raided his offices and residence and claimed to have seized computer floppies containing the question papers.
