A team of Federal Bureau of Investigation will be visiting India soon to interrogate three accused in the hijacking of Indian Airlines plane in 1999.
Central Bureau of Investigation sources said the FBI team would be questioning Abdul Lateef, Dilip Bhuel and Yousuf Nepali in connection with the conspiracy of hijacking of IC-814 while it was on its way from Kathmandu to Delhi.
The FBI had also registered a case following a complaint by Jennie Moore, who was among the passengers of the ill-fated plane that was hijacked and taken to Kandahar on the eve of Christmas.

This is for the third time that the FBI team would be questioning the three accused who were arrested by the CBI for conspiring and providing logistics to five hijackers.
In all, 10 people have been chargesheeted by the agency of whom seven are absconding.
Earlier, sources had said that Lateef had also confessed about the role of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen in the hijacking.
Maulana Masood Azhar, one of the three militants released in exchange for hijacked passengers, was the founder member of HuM and the militant outfit had made several attempts to get him released from the Jammu jail.
Both the CBI and FBI had registered a case and decided to cooperate with each other in the investigations.
While the CBI had questioned the entire crew of the ill-fated plane, the FBI had recorded the statement of American citizen, Jennie Moorie, who was on board the plane.
