The recent Presidential poll saw Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav receive two ballot papers. Yadav tore up his first ballot paper and voted for Mukherjee on another ballot he obtained from the polling officer.

In order to avoid a repeat of such an episode, the Election Commission is holding a review meeting with the returning officer on Tuesday.

According to the Returning officer T K Viswanathan, major issues are likely to be discussed.

Can three Lok Sabha MPs Dimple Yadav (SP), Rajamohan Reddy (YSR Congress) and Shanta (Bharatiya Janata Party) cast their votes in the vice president polls.

The returning officer would elicit from the legal section of the Election Commission clarity on whether Dimple Yadav can vote as she is yet to take the oath to office. Similarly, Rajamohan Reddy though elected has not taken oath. BJP's Shantha has been disqualified as a Lok Sabha MP.

The Lok Sabha secretariat also wanted other logistic matters to be sorted out with the Election Commission, official sources said.
